The homeowners of this petition are opposed to the NOPC for various reasons some of which are:

1) Infrastructure - Sandestin cannot withstand the type of proposed development. There have been issues with damaging flooding and all too frequent power outages.

2) Traffic Congestion -Traffic backs up at the guard gates onto Highway 98 causing hazardous conditions on the highway. In addition, it causes delays and inconvenience to residents of Walton County

3) Inadequate Parking - Parking on the resort, especially beach access parking, is inadequate and continues to get worse each year.

4) Beach Compaction -The beach is already in excess of capacity during spring break and the summer season. This beach overcrowding creates an atmosphere that is not conducive to family vacations. More importantly it negates the Sandestin community as a whole along with the charm and allure of why people choose to come here.

We are writing to express our opposition to a continuance in the Sandestin Development (SDI) NOPC hearing currently scheduled for September 9, 2016.

This matter has been rescheduled numerous times by request of SDI and we believe it is time for the County to decide this matter on the merits of the case and stop allowing SDI to waste government time and money by continuing to ask for delays in the process. Many Sandestin owners and other local taxpayers have expended time and money to attend these previous hearings only to have SDI ask for a continuance at the last minute.

We believe that further delays are detrimental to Sandestin owners and the community at large. We ask that you deny the request for a continuance and hear the case at the meeting on Friday.
