<p>Hello everyone-</p><div> </div><div>I know there are many concerns about "hoping the fence" behind Phase III and ideas around building up security. However, there are many advantages of having access to Publix shopping center from this area. So I propose a gate! Yay! I believe there is a way to build a gate with high fences, lighting, "hostile vegetation", and a concrete walkway to the parking lot that will be safe and convenient for the entire community.</div><div> </div><div>I have attached an image of something similar to what we could do (with higher fences, obviously).</div><div> </div><div>Most residence hop the fence because they do not feel safe walking around the corner of Piedmont and Renaissance Pkwy where many homeless sit on the corner of the street there. It also takes about 10 minutes off the walk to the Marta station and gives a convenient access to Publix, Walgreens, and all the other shops and businesses in this shopping center.</div><div> </div><div>I know there are many concerns about people breaking the lock or letting people in, but those concerns are just as real for the gates on the Renaissance side by the pool and fountain (where there is even more foot traffic).</div><div> </div><div>With the proper gate, lighting, and "hostile vegetation" we can have a safe and easy walking access to the Publix parking lot-- increasing our property value and making every feel safer about this currently exposed area.</div><div> </div><div>If you like this idea, or would simply like to hear more about it, please sign this petition and we will make sure to give you all the information about a gate so we can decide together what to present to the board.</div><div> </div><div>Thank you for giving me a few minutes of your time.</div><div> </div><div>Jones Wynn</div><div>Phase III Owner since 2001</div>
