<p>SHOULD MILL LANE BE CLOSED?</p><p>Mill Lane is slated for closure to through traffic. This decision was made by the Highways Department and the Local Council - without public consultation and in the face of protest by local residents.</p><p>Mill Lane isn’t even an “accident black spot”. So it’s hard to see the logic behind a decision that will mean daily inconvenience for commuters and residents alike. We think it’s already tough enough to get to work on time, so rush hour traffic without this valuable cut-through doesn’t bear thinking about. And residents won’t have it much better, as they’ll be reduced to one route out only.</p><p>If you would like to add your voice to ours, please sign this petition.
