<p>Following the death of New Zealand rugby union legend Jonah Lomu, I feel it would be a fitting tribute to the Rugby World Cup's joint leading try scorer to name the trophy after him.</p><p>The claim towards Webb Ellis (after whom the trophy is currently named) who allegedly invented rugby when he picked up a ball and ran, lacks integrity and to have the trophy named after one of, if not the greatest player to have ever played the game would seem a deserving gesture towards a New Zealand icon.</p><p>So I would ask you all to sign this petition and to make sure the memory of one of the finest sportsmen to have ever lived is preserved and the legacy he left passed on to generations to come.</p><p>Thank you.</p>
