In the fall of 2015 the University of Wyoming reevaluated the University Studies Program (USP) and removed the Diversity (D) and Global Awareness (G) from the required curriculum. This change was made without sufficient representation of diversity on the committee or approval from the Associated Students of UW (ASUW). Not only does this change cause an unsafe and unwelcoming campus climate, but it also hinders students from being able to adequately “serve the people in our communities, our state, the nation, and the world”* or be exposed to “the complexities of an interdependent world”*! Without the proper education in the areas of diversity and global awareness, the students of UW will not be adequately prepared to be successful in a diverse workforce and world.

*Statements taken from the University of Wyoming’s Mission Statement.

We, the undersigned, concerned students at the University of Wyoming support that all students must take a minimum of 6 Diversity and Global Awareness credits before graduating from the University of Wyoming.

**By signing below you are knowingly and willingly signing the Diversity and Global Awareness Requirement Petition

Location please input the college that you are currently in.
