<p><strong><u>Petition for a Fair & Properly Administered Election in Sangamon County<br /></u></strong></p><p> </p><p>We, the undersigned citizens of Sangamon County, Illinois, believe all citizens should be able to vote in a fair and properly administered election.</p><p>We hereby express our grave concerns with how the General Primary Election in Sangamon County was administered on March 15, 2016. Namely, we express the following four general concerns:</p><ol><li>Communication Problems</li><li>Ballot Problems</li><li>Grace Period/Same-Day Registration Implementation Problems</li><li>Precinct Clustering</li></ol><p>The aforementioned general problems led to voter disenfranchisement. No citizen should be denied the opportunity to vote. Yet, people did not get to vote in Sangamon County on March 15, 2016.</p><p>As citizens of the home of Abraham Lincoln, we are appalled by the failure of the Sangamon County Clerk Don Gray to properly administer the March 15, 2016, General Primary Election. We ask that County Clerk Don Gray show respect for and be held accountable to the citizens of Sangamon County by publicly apologizing for his failure. </p>
