Is your family next?

Pompano Municipal Air Park must restrict touch and go's for the training of pilots. This is a situation that has been escalating over the past several years and we all knew this was going to happen eventually. Fortunately no one on the ground was injured or killed.

The aircraft involved in the accident was operated by a flight school for the training of pilots utilizing an aircraft with an expired certification, according to FAA records.

Harbor Village is a residential community not a buffer zone for the Air Park.

The flight schools must divert their aircraft to an air strip in a less populated area and/or move operations.

According to public information, as of May 2014, Pompano Municipal Airpark handled on average 460+ aircraft per day. With the airpark housing only 140 aircraft it is evident that the majority of the traffic involves student pilots. The key word is 'student' lacking skills and jeopardizing the lives of the citizens of Pompano Beach.

This situation will continue to escalate unless 'we the people' can get the City of Pompano Beach to do something about limiting air traffic.

Please sign this petition if you agree.
