Dear Neighbors,

A vote has been hurriedly scheduled for Saturday May 21st at 2pm to ratify the firing of First Service Residential (FSR), the company that has successfully managed this property for 15 years. During this time Bristol Tower has enjoyed a reputation for being a premiere, well-managed and top-notch building on Brickell. This new Board seems bound and determined to eradicate all vestiges of our successful past. They have replaced:

Our landscaping company for over 7 years and our landscaping has never looked worse and at an additional cost;

They have replaced our accountants and additionally have hired attorneys and a forensic auditor to pursue suspicions of wrongdoing which, as admitted at the meeting on May 18th, are wholly unsubstantiated;

They have abandoned 2.5 years of effort by our former Design Committee and an expenditure of approximately 200K of our funds to start anew and commence design concepts with new vendors without prior disclosure to the community.

At the meeting on May 18th, the attendees learned the Board’s Treasurer, Luigi Folonari, accompanied by a resident who is not on the Board, Maria Elena Ibanez, who resides with the Board’s President, seized, without notice, the Association's computers and took them to an undisclosed location off the property for two days. These seized computers contain highly sensitive, confidential, private, proprietary residents’ and personnel information including, but not limited to, sensitive materials, financial information, personnel salaries and other information that should not be accessed by non-authorized individuals or companies. This act violates our privacy interests and applicable law.

So now, the Board against the wishes and expressed opinions of a unanimity of the unit owners who were present at the May 18th meeting (Many who could not attend advised us they were in agreement), is attempting to force the firing of our management company by replacing it with Castle Management LLC. A simple Google search discloses Castle is a small time property management company that manages B- or less buildings and has abysmal reviews. When asked at the meeting on May 18th, the current Board could not identify a single quality building that this company manages or for that matter any building.

Despite the fact that every single attendant expressed opposition to this proposal, the Board has scheduled a meeting to take place at a time that is inconvenient for most residents to attend this extremely crucial meeting. A request to reschedule the meeting has gone unanswered.

As residents we need to protect our personal and financial interests. By signing below please tell this Board you do NOT agree or support their proposal to terminate FSR.

Thank you,

Your concerned neighbors
