Are you sick of seeing Torquay being at the forefront of any meaningful investment? Fed up of seeing a lovely family-friendly town being run into the ground by people who have no affinity with it?

This Xmas highlights the disgusting drive by Torbay Council to suck shoppers out of Paignton and Brixham and into their own town centre. Christmas lights have gone, whilst Torquay has a multitude of promotional events and drives. Winner street has had it's lights taken away - even the bunting! Crossways is still a blight on the town. We have more charity shops than meaningful businesses - rates are sky high, meaning only charity shops can afford prime positions in Paignton's high street. Our cinema has been boarded up for years, gone are the palm trees, which Torquay now has along it's seafront.

Businesses are going to the wall on a daily basis in Paignton and Brixham, while Torquay invests in a new seafront and marina - Paignton needs you to speak up for it before it is too late. Who wants to come to a town who's main square is empty, who's high street is full of charity shops; who's historic quarter is under used and un-promoted, who's shopping areas are blighted by unrealistic parking restrictions; who's landlords are allowed to turn lovely buildings into overcrowded slums, rife with drugs and crime.

No-one is saying that Torquay doesn't have it's own problems, it does, but if the investment doesn't come soon for Paignton tourism will die and so will Paignton. What we need is enough like-minded people who are sick of this and want to protest to the council and mayor and even take to the streets and protest to goverment that the funds allocated to Torbay are being mis-managed and are biased and damaging to the area. Please sign this petition and let's get some answers!
